A diary is a partial, intimate insight into the thoughts and reflections of an individual over a certain period. I filled a diary with drawings, prints, paintings, and texts for several months and displayed the work at the Zurich University of the Arts. The closed book was placed in a transparent glass vitrine. The diary was presented alongside a projection of selected pages and accompanied by a heterogeneous background of techno music and radio sounds. The subtle play of intimacy and publicity, or secrecy and knowledge, is just as much a part of the work as the significance of the unfinished, a sketch, an experiment, or an idea for a work of art.
